The Hunter and the gatherer

Lisette Fee

It takes a stylish and confident person to style their jewelry in a way that is bold, interesting and truly unique.

Jesse is wearing three of his new talon necklaces. I met Jesse in October at the Vintage Charlotte holiday market and we instantly bonded over jewelry and style. Jesse is an entrepreneur and small business owner as well. Jesse restyles, redesigns and creates custom created clothing from vintage finds.

I asked Jesse if he’d style his new jewels and wow did he take it and run with the assignment. I love how he went out to the woods to photograph himself wearing his Eilisan Jewels. What do you think? Smokin’ right?

So fellas, YOU TOO can wear jewelry and be an absolute BOSS!

Jesse purchased the Squirrel bone pendant, Hunted owl talon charm and the hawk talon charm. These necklaces truly make a statement with any outfit that showcases them.

Jesse and I are currently working on a custom gold chocker necklaces with charms so that he can style his jewelry with his custom re-worked clothing. I can’t wait to see how our collaboration comes together!

So treat your man to some spiritual and badass jewels.

Eilisain Tarot

Lisette Fee

You could probably see the writing on the wall. As much as I write and talk about tarot it was inevitable that I’d create a tarot deck. So here is your sneak preview!

And I almost can’t believe it’s happening!!!! Back fourteen years ago when I began my jewelry journey I tried to create jewelry that referenced tarot however I couldn’t really figure out how.

Cue to now and I’m creating my own deck. At the beginning of the year I set about working on this project and I had absolutely no clue HOW. If you follow ‘manifestation’ they always urge you to forget about the HOW and to trust in the universe. Well I did and let me tell you this happened way faster than I thought it would and I have to give most of the credit to my friend and assistant Victoria Schultz.

If you recall Victoria began working with me three years ago during the pandemic. Victoria has been my angel, my right hand woman. Victoria took this project and RAN with it, she knows the Eilisain brand so well and she nailed the graphics and look.

In late April and just last month we shot images of me with our sample tarot deck. These are the major arcana cards, with several of the minor cards.

We organized the deck with each suite corresponding to an Eilisain Jewelry collection, so Wands/Fire = snake, Swords/air = owl, Cups/water = Cuttlefish jewels and Pentacles/earth = Turtle.

Each jewelry collection features jewels and photos that easily correspond to the tarot and the messages we receive from each card. This has always been my intention, to meld the divine/spiritual with jewelry. The messages are intertwined.

This year I truly embraced reading tarot and the opportunity to intuit and attune myself to how I can assist you in your daily life and inquiries.

So to wrap this up, Eilisain Tarot will drop in late Fall of this year - perfect for this spooky season. In addition Eilisain jewelry will transition over to a new website that will provide jewelry AND tarot.

I’m just SO thrilled and excited to share this with you!! Stay tuned by signing up for my email list so you can purchase your deck as soon as it drops!

When witches convene, laughter ensues

Do you love a good story? I mean who doesn’t?

Here goes, last summer I participated in an evening market in downtown Raleigh, NC and it was hot and sweltering but I made a lifelong customer and friend through Marissa, she was shopping with her family and happened upon my booth. We immediately connected.

Fast forward to present day and Marissa reaches out to me in September to see if I’d be interested in coming to her home to show my jewelry and read tarot to her friends for a Witches Party! Of course I said yes. And let me tell you, it was so much fun. Marissa is an excellent host, her home is beautiful and her friends are a pure delight. And my Mom even joined me (secretly she didn’t want me driving home late at night).

It was a beautiful experience to read tarot and share our stories. It felt invigorating to me to read and investigate further into the issues her friends needed more clarity.

Here are some of the photos we snapped of the party. I love all the fantastic and inventive costumes the attendees wore.

Halloween spirit in full effect! Marissa has such a big heart and it was such an honor to share my jewelry in her home.

The wisdom tarot holds comes back to you. You shuffle the cards and your energy is infused. Reading the cards we’re taken on a journey through images and symbols.

Tarot readings will be offered throughout the holiday season, book one with me before the end of the year.

I believe in this day and age, we are welcoming witch energy more openly. We are recognizing that there is a little witch in all of us. We are naturally intuitive healers, all of us. The witch reminds us of that, to embrace our inherent healing and magical powers.

I hope you had an amazing Halloween/samhain season. It was a fun and busy one for me!

New stockist - The Sojourner Whole Earth Provisions

Lisette Fee

Holy cow I’m SO excited to say that Eilisain is now being carried by my favorite local witchy/pagan shop, The Sojourner Whole Earth Provisions!!!

I have shopped with Michelle since I moved to Greenville and it’s pretty awesome timing that Michelle just released a book!

If you live in the Greenville area, shopping at Sojo’s is a destination, her tarot stock has exploded, she has an array of ceremonial candles, crystals, books, and so much more. I never thought my jewelry would be stocked there but it is and it’s just such an honor.

You can also shop at Sojo’s online. Either way, I wanted to share this exciting news with you. If you have ANY suggestions on stock shops please let me know! You can email me at info@eilisanjewelry.com

Thank you as always for reading and following me on this journey.

You are a BIG blessing in this universe.

That old banana peel is worth gold

Lisette Fee

I got your attention didn’t I? Ha, seriously though banana peels, egg shells, leftover food gone bad is literal GOLD to your yard and garden beds.

Composting has become somewhat of a fascination for me, for some reason I enjoying mixing rotting food with dirt! lol okay so I’ll get down to the nitty gritty, composting is absolutely the BIGGEST thing you can do to help the environment. Why? Here are some incredible facts about food waste:

  • Waste costs big money, approximately $55 per ton in 2019 and the U.S. generates more than 267 million tons!! That’s alot of money and waste that we could save. (source NRDC)

  • Food & scrape waste makes up more than 28% of what we throw away. That is a high percentage that we can cut down on.

  • Composting greatly improves our soil by putting back much needed elements back into the ground such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.

  • Helps retain water, each 1% of increase in soil organic matter helps soil retain 20,000 gallons of water per acre.

With all that being said, when we all take this action as a collective it can have HUGE implications for our community, state and country. For example San Francisco began a city wide composting program in 1996, and as of the year 2000 San Francisco was able to divert 50% of waste from landfills and by 2012 it had increased this and now 80% of waste has been diverted from landfills. How incredible is that?

Okay so composting is good and all but HOW DO YOU COMPOST? I honestly had no clue until my inlaws gave us several buckets, we created a garden bed, dug up dirt and VOILA, we have a composting system. There are many different ways to compost but I’m going to give you the bare bones EASIEST way to do it.

  1. Purchase a kitchen counter compost bin. Usually they’re steel or ceramic and can be purchased online or maybe your local hardware store.

  2. Purchase 3 large bins (we got ours from Lowe’s)

  3. Create a garden bed, it can be whatever size you like, we have a longer one, any raised bed will do.

  4. Fill your garden bed with dirt and plant something

Now that you have all the se steps in place you can begin composting. And there are a couple things to keep in mind on what you can compost:

  • Food scraps with the exception of bones, meat or dairy (these attract animals and it’s not meant to be composted)

  • Layer your food scraps with dirt. at the bottom of your bin have a small layer of dirt, then food scraps & then dirt or straw

eilisainjewelry.png

Now isn’t that simple? It does require a little bit of elbow grease and it’s totally worth it when we do this individually and collectively. Plus, that compost dirt is super rich and beneficial for your garden. You’ll love getting dirty and connecting with our Mother Earth - she gives us so much, it’s the least we can do.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I want to share with you my methods of centering your mind & heart and ways to ground you.

You Have An Undiscovered Patronus Awaiting

Lisette Fee

Since I began working with owl talons nearly ten years ago I researched about owls, their behaviors and how to tap into their strength in my everyday life. From then on it continued to crow, bear, cats, badgers, hawks, cardinals and now snake.

I want to clarify that I use the word patronus instead of totem or spirit animal because I don’t want to use a word that is primarily Native American and that appropriates their culture. So to be respectful we can use JK Rowling’s beautiful term patronus or guardian animal.

I had been brewing up a plan to create a quiz a long time ago that would aide you in locating your patronus in the Eilisain Jewelry world. When you find your patronus, I provide you with guides as to how you can harness the incredible wisdom and power of your patronus. For example, cuttlefish is a beautiful mollusk that can change it’s color to hide from prey or to hunt it’s own prey. With cuttlefish as your patronus you will want to utilize color to empower you or to mask any hindrances.

eilisainjewelry.jpg

We can learn SO MUCH from animals, they have infinite wisdom if we look closely, if we notice their behaviors. Something I learned from snake is the uncomfortable shedding of their skin which they endure on a regular basis. What this teaches is us that we are constantly growing and shedding. Look at our current world, so many of us are going through a rebirth and an awakening just as the snake does,

Okay so you want to know which animal in the Eilisain Jewelry collection is yours? Take the quiz! Click the link below and you’ll answer select questions.
